Meet The Lansdale Team

Kelsey

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, Office Manager

1. How did you get involved in dentistry?

I was very self-conscious about my smile as a child so when it came time for me to see an Orthodontist I was over the moon excited. When I was a senior in high school I attended a career fair where I heard about Manor College and there Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Program. I love dentistry and I strive to make patients as happy with their smiles as I am with mine!

2. How long have you been working here?

I meet Dr. Kaffey back in 2012, he and I work very well together. In 2014 when Dr. Kaffey acquired Leading Dental Solutions he asked me to join his team.

 3. What do you like about your job?

Dr. Kaffey! I love this team, we all work well together.

As far as dentistry, in the beginning of my career, I worked in a few different specialists offices such as Oral Surgery, Periodontists, and Orthodontist with all of the different experience I gained I found that my passion is cosmetics. I love seeing patients reactions to a beautiful smile that they had only ever dreamed of, it's very rewarding.

4. tell a little about yourself/what do you like to do in your free time?

My husband Dan and I having fun raising our children. When we aren't running the kids around to different activities, we enjoy spending what little free time we have by hanging at our home with friends and family. Whether it be swimming in our pool, jumping on the trampoline, hanging by a fire pit or watching whichever sport is on tv we try to spend free time together.

1. How did you get involved in dentistry?

After yrs of pharmacy/ home infusion, I decided to go into the dental field.  It was the only field of healthcare I wasn't familiar with.  I started with a small family owned practice and liked the care and quality that dentistry provides.

2. How long have you been working here?

I have been in dentistry for 3 years

 3. What do you like about your job?

I like to work with the patients and educate them on how the insurance works.  Some patients are hesitant to continue care not because of the fear of the actual dentist but because of costs. My love stems from educating the patient on the ways to afford to have the treatment that is necessary.

4. tell a little about yourself/what do you like to do in your free time?

I love to cook and entertain.  When the kitchen is closed my husband and I like to travel and go to local places and hear live music.  I have 3 boys that are grown and flown so my obsession now is watching my bird feeder and my plants
