Kelsey - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, Office Manager

1. How did you get involved in dentistry? 

I was very self conscious about my smile as a child so when it came time for me to see an Orthodontist I was over the moon excited. When I was a senior in high school I attended a career fair  where I heard about Manor College and there Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Program. I love dentistry and I strive to make patients as happy with theirs smiles as i am with mine! 

2. How long have you been working here? 

I meet Dr. Kaffey back in 2012, he and I work very well together. In 2014 when Dr. Kaffey acquired Leading Dental Solutions he asked me to join his team.  

 3. What do you like about you job? 

Dr. Kaffey! I love this team, we all work well together . 
As far as dentistry, in the beginning of my career I worked in a few different specialists offices such as Oral Surgery, Periodontists, and Orthodontist with all of the different experience I gained I found that my passion is cosmetics. I love seeing patients reactions to a beautiful smile that they had only ever dreamed of, its very rewarding. 

4. tell a little about yourself/what do you like to do in your free time? 

My husband Dan and I having fun raising our children. When we aren't running the kids around to different activities, we enjoy spending what little free time we have by hanging at our home with friends and family. Weather it be swimming our pool, jumping on the trampoline, hanging by a fire pit or watching which ever sport is on tv we try to spend free time together.

Karen  - Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Karen1. How did you end up in dentistry? 
I have always wanted to work with people and health care has always been an interest of mine.  I applied to a Dental Assistant Program one summer and I loved what I was learning. I enjoy my career in dentistry and learning new techniques to this day, that is why in 2012 I became a licensed Expanded Functions Dental Assistant which enables me to help patients achieve beautiful smiles.  

2. How long have you been working here? 
Over the past 30 years I have gained experience in several different areas of Dentistry.  Orthodontics and General Dentistry have been my main focus. I have been working with Dr. Kaffey and Leading Dental Solutions since January 2015, and it has been a wonderful place to work. Our team members get along very well and we all have a great time together. 

3. What do you like about your job?
I like helping people achieve good overall health, through a beautiful healthy smile. 

4. Tell a little about you/what do you like to do in your free time?
I am married to my wonderful husband Steve, and together we have three awesome children Eric, Heather, and Marc. Together we love to explore, camp, and travel the country. I also enjoy reading in my free time.
 

Jeannie - Financial Coordinator

Jeannie1. How did you get into Dentistry?

A friend of mine that worked for the office insisted I would be perfect for the job.

2. How long have you worked here?

January 2017, it will be 10 years

3. What do you like about your job?

The patients and the staff. We have a wonderful crew!

4. What do you like to do in your free time?

Spending time with family and friends. Soccer every weekend.

Anne - Treatment Coordinator

Anne1. How did you get into dentistry? 

I was looking for a career change. My sister is a Dental Hygienist and is practice she was working for at the time was looking for front office help. 
 

2. How long have you been working here? 

I have been working in dentistry for about 20 years, but I have been with Dr. Kaffey for about a year and a half. 
 

3. What do you like about your job? 

Our wonderful team!! I also love working with the public, I enjoy getting to meet new people and continually learning about changes in patients benefit plans, insurance companies and changes in the clinical aspect of dentistry. 
 

4. Tell a little about yourself/what do you like to do in your free time?

Outside of work it’s all about family. My Husband Mikey and I have three grown children that we love spending time with. We also have several furry friends. We have a dog, a cat, a horse, and a rat. I enjoy time with friends, and family and love being outdoors. 

Vicki - Dental Hygienist  

Vicki1. How did you end up in dentistry?

I was planning on studying nursing. I attended a vocational program during high school that introduced me to nursing, dental, and legal assistant. I obviously fell in love with the dentistry program and attended Montgomery county community college in 1985-1987 to pursue my dental hygiene studies.

2. How long have you been working here?

I have been working here since 2008

3. What do you enjoy most about your job?

I am lucky to be surrounded by great co-workers and I enjoy interacting with people. I like to help people find solutions to not just their oral health issues but to their overall needs as well.

4. What do you like to do on your free time?

Family is the most important thing in my life. I enjoy reading, watching movies, going out to dinner and on occasion genealogy research. I would like to have the opportunity to travel more and see the world.

Dee Dee - Dental Hygienist

1. How did you get into dentistry?

An old co-worker of mine had a sister who was a hygienist, she loved her job and convinced me to apply to a Hygiene Program. I was accepted right away, I was thrilled and now I love my career.

2. How long have you been working here?

I have been working at Leading dental solutions for over 3 years.

3. What do you like about your job?

First and foremost, my coworkers. This team makes my job enjoyable. The interactions with patients and educating them about oral health is also a highlight for me.

4. Tell a little about yourself/what do you like to do in your free time?

I am very active. I workout a lot. I love riding my bike outside on trails and taking walks. I enjoy the beach in Miami, and I love watching my daughters swim at college meets.
